Tom joined London Underground in 2000 as an apprentice. After completing his Technical Officer training, he worked in signalling maintenance on the Bakerloo line before joining the signalling design office. From there he moved into testing as a Principles Tester and Tester in Charge, and he now works in assurance for Testing and Commissioning activities across the LU network.
Outside of work Tom enjoys languages, photography, transport, and travel, particularly to Scandinavia and Germany. In addition to TechSoc, he is also on the committee of the London Underground Railway Society and is the current chair of the Scandinavian Railways Society. Tom also has several bicycles, which don’t see enough use!
