George is the TfL Technical Director, reporting to both the Chief Capital Officer and the Transport Commissioner on key Programmes of new, novel or significant risk to the business including the Crossrail Programme and its creation of the Elizabeth Line, the Four Line Modernisation Programme, the Bank station development and Northern Line Extension. He is accountable for enabling Technical Delivery and Assurance.

George started work with London Underground as an apprentice and has amassed 40 years’ experience of design, development and delivery of modern train and control system engineering within London Underground and TfL. He is also a Director of the UK National Skills Academy for Rail (NSAR) and Past President of the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE).
